R&T Steel and Wire Company, LLC is an innovative design and manufacturing company comprised of 3 business groups: Pet Products, Industrial Products, and Coatings.
The Coatings Business Group is a leader in providing coating solutions to our customers through dependability, quick turn-around, and high quality.
We are able to coat products of various sizes, shapes, and quantities through two application methods: Electrodeposition Coating (E-Coat) and Powder Coating.
E-Coat
E-Coat involves submerging the part into a tank which holds the coating bath and then applying direct current electricity through the bath using electrodes. This promotes coating complex geometries and fine control of film build. It can be applied to any electrically-conductive metal: brass, aluminum, zinc, etc.
E-coat is a high-quality, low-cost alternative to powder coating, lacquer spray, anodizing, or plating, and is wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, chemical-resistant, and temperature-resistant.
Our system has the following features:

- Coating Material: Powercron 6000 CX Black Epoxy (PPG)
- Part Envelope: 30" H x 20" W x 18" D
- Capability of a 40" L part
- 7 Stage Pre-treatment Washer with Zinc Phosphate
- 5 Stage Post Rinse
- Tank capacity of 20 sq. ft. per minute

POWDER COAT
Powder Coat is a type of dry coating, which is applied as a fluidized, dry powder. The main difference between a conventional liquid paint and a powder coating is that the powder coating does not require a solvent to keep the binder and filler parts in a liquid suspension form. Since there are no solvents, the process is environmentally friendly and generates no VOCs or hazardous wastes.
Powder Coating provides a tough, durable, long lasting coating for metal parts. The finished coating performance has excellent hardness, abrasion, and impact resistance.

- 5 Stage Washer with Iron Phosphate Pretreatment
- Spray Booth: 10 automatic spray guns with gun movers, and 2 hand touch-up units
